Description

This children's drama starring Elisabeth Sladen, Tommy Knight, Daniel Knight, and Yasmin Paige follows investigative journalist Sarah Jane Smith, one-time companion to that strange wanderer in time and space known as the Doctor. When Sarah's adopted son, Luke, first became part of Sarah Jane's life, he encountered a world of adventure — not just of dangerous aliens bent on invasion and destruction, but also an amazing world of wonder and excitement. This is something that Sarah Jane is keen to keep from Bannerman Road, and Series 2's newest addition, fourteen-year-old Rani Chandra and her parents Gita and Haresh. But sparky Rani is a wannabe journalist and, like Sarah Jane, is not the type to let a mystery go unsolved! Get ready for more danger, mystery, and wonder as the incomparable Sarah Jane Smith returns for a second series of the spectacular, thrilling children's drama from the makers of Doctor Who and Torchwood.

Sarah Jane Adventures is a great show! It is reminiscent of the original Dr Who shows and it's wonderful for younger kids who are easily scared. The new Dr Who is excellently written and executed, but it can be chilling even for grown-ups, like me. So, Sarah Jane to the rescue! I am not so patiently waiting for seasons three and four on the US iTunes. Mr. Smith, I need you!

I've watched this show from its beginning, simply because it's a cute show that is a spinoff of one of my favorites: Doctor Who. Some kids aren't ready to watch Doctor Who itself yet, so this is a great introduction to it without getting into the "scary" adventures involving Daleks, Cybermen, and The Master. I enjoy this show even though it can have some pretty cheesy moments. Overall, a good show that younger audiences will enjoy and that older ones won't mind. 6 stars out of 10.

This show is fun in the same way the Dr.Who shows are enjoyable. It is Saturday afternoon matinee with a bag a popcorn fun. Take the kids or don’t- either way it is worth the price.
