Haunted Things - EP

Shayfer James has put out such an incredibly beautiful, haunting volume of work with this album. No shallow pools, shiny disco balls or smoke and mirrors lay beneath the layers of instruments and lyrics. It’s a truly lovely journey to center through this album.

I've been following shayfer since He released the owl and the elephant. Keeps getting better. Haven't even heard a mediocre song from him yet. Tiny gods on repeat since I got it this morning.

Shayfer James has truly captured what it means to be an innovative, independent, modern-day artist. Independence in his case does not mean his music is created in a vacuum- quite the contrary, actually. One may pick up on bits and highlights of other musicians, performance artists, genres, time periods, emotions, and passions; his ability to string all of these together into something entirely different with each album is part of what makes James fantastic. "Haunted Things" is no exception to his consistent fantasticism. Bravo, sir!
