This is truly one of the greatest metal albums I have heard in my life. Beautiful soulful lyrics, amazing powerful riffs. harmonies, and solos. This album absolutely blew me away. The best compliment I can give is every time I go to this album I never just listen to one song I end up listening to the whole album. Do yourself a favor and get this album you won't regret it.

This is probably the best metal release of 2016. Their debut was ridiculously great. And they topped it here. Sure there will be comparisons to Pallbearer but is that a bad thing? They may REMIND you of Pallbearer but they don't SOUND like them. Big things in store for Khemmis. Being able to blend doom into melodic stoner masterpieces is not easy to do. They do it on both their albums. 7.99 is a good price. Buy it.

Khemmis is a really cool band. They released Absolution last year which was an album I pretty much had on repeat for most of the year... It was heavy, it was crunchy and the riffs and vocals were very unique. After many hours with Hunted, I feel as though Khemmis has released a much more complex and progressive album in comparison to their debut... It's like comparing Maiden's Number of the Beast to Piece of Mind... Two amazing albums, but I by far perfer the complexity and variation of Piece of Mind over Number of the Beast. Hunted has the heavy, crunchy and at times melodic moments found in Absolution. But this time around Khemmis seems to hone and refine their sound all the while adding new layers and variations to the mix. This is my favorite album of 2016 by far. Khemmis is without a doubt my current favorite band out of the many I listen to. What's even more exciting is the band is planning on recording their third studio album this coming February 2017, based on recent social media posts I stumbled upon. I am incredibly excited to hear what this talented band comes up with next. Highly recommended. This is a very special album.

I'm not a big fan of the genre, so I was skeptical after reading all the great reviews. Luckily I gave it a chance, because this album will crush you. It's about as heavy as it gets, with a good variety in vocal styles. I've listened to the album beginning to end probably ten times in less than a week, it's that good!

Khemmis' sophomore effort is a perfect maturation of their mind-blowing debut album from last year. Keep an eye (and your ears) on these guys. Rich sound, great style, and fantastic energy. In a genre typically held back by its own lyrical angst and melodrama, Hunted, like Absolution before it, has incredibly dynamic emotion and soul (obviously dark and ominous at times, but still SOUL). Nice work again, Khemmis. \m/

Heard an 'advance' copy of the record and it has legs...dare you to stop listening to it. Crushing, brutal and beautiful all at once. Guaranteed to be on albums of the year lists everywhere. The Denver metal scene is crushing it...with these guys, Blood Incantation and many others. They don't slack in the live department either. Saw these guys open for Pallbearer a few weeks back and they proceeded to light the place up...amazing. 10/21 at the Hi Dive!
