This band is a rare convergence of Talent, Taste, and STYLE! "Enemy at the gates" and "undone " are still my favorites but this new album might be the heavyweight contender I've been waiting for all year. I wish I was cool enough to make music like this. It will still be cool in 20 years.

After 7 years in the waiting, this band has continued where they left off, but the quality of their production is purely orchestrated as before but better. If they do a full tour, I can only hope they pair with an orchestra(s) that delivers the layers of sound which they are renowned for.
My hat is off to them for the respect and attention to detail that sets them apart from most genres. This album projects a nostalgic look into the past for both listener and ,I assume , band as well. Thank you.

I’ve been waiting so excitedly and patiently for new music from DeVotchKa and to hear how, after all these years of different solo projects, their music will have grown and evolved together again especially after hearing their beautiful work with soundtracks. Each song to me plays out (as I mentioned in my title) like a unique and epic journey from the stories of the lyrics to the ebb and flow of the crescendos...it’s all powerfully beautiful!
