All these years later, still just as mesmerising...

Back in the late 70's there was such a wealth of astonishing vocalists, both male and female. Karla Bonoff came on to recording/FM radio scene in the late 70's and I just stopped in my tracks. I was living away from the Boston area going to school in the midwest, Kansas... the voice and sound of this talent was just what I needed! It made being away from home, just a little easy to deal with... Karla has the market on a melancholy delivery still to this day. She can draw so much emotion from so many of her own tunes, so many standouts and that's what you get on this new CARRY ME HOME, some new and some dusted off classics, with mimimal distractions, the voice and light atmospheric touches make the most of her beautiful voice. Many recorded her songs and took them places.. Bonnie, Linda, Wynonna but none could take that emotional sadness out of the songs like Karla. I recently got a chance to see her in in NH over the past years and although she has had limited releases, the voice was still such an amazing think to behold, listening to these songs on CARRY ME HOME.. still touch your soul and makes you think of all this time that has passed,, the happiness and the saddness life brings and the hope, CARRY ME HOME is in heavy rotation, thanks Karla for sharing this music and touring!
