Adam Hood is 5 stars all the way...this is a studio album, unfortunately, so it plays down his true ability but nonetheless is a great album..if you like this, go onto his website and pick up his other 2 albums...they are recorded with him and his acoustic, for the most part, and he gets down on it--he's pretty much freak'n awesome

Saw this dude at Musicfest last week. Awesome stuff.

I have been to too many of his shows to count and I can honestly say he never gets old. His covers and his insightful originals always leave me wanting more. I didn't think a album could really capture what Hood is all about, but I can't complain. It is solid. He is a "must see" live artist. He is the real deal and writes his own stuff.

Adam Hood is a great musician who makes music with a great sound, and this album is no exception. If you like this, check out his album 6th Street. It has some good songs and a cleaner sound.

Hes a rare true talent I believe thats out there and his music sounds just like it comes out of your speakers and I believe more people should discover him and you won't be unhappy with what you get or hear.
  • Pretty solid record

Not really a 5 star (but not a 3.5 I-Tunes score either, which it currently has before my review - I'm trying to balance things out). I like his voice a lot and some of the songs are excellent. If he can become more consistent in his song writing and song choices, he could really put out a special album. Best tracks: Buzzes Like Neon, Varnado.

I was fortunate enough to see Adam Hood in concert last night, March 15, 2008, at the Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines, IA. He opened for Miranda Lambert. He was very impressive. He took the time to mingle with the crowd after his concert. He took a picture with my son and signed his hat, Zack was very excited, this was his first concert! I would definately go see him again!

This guy's great - 22 Days Too Long rocks. This guy can write and can sing and when he and Bonnie Bishop get together... I'm waiting for THAT "album".

I really liked Adam's rendition of Play Something We Know. This set of tracks has nothing that comes close to the charm of that tune. This is just a another bar band singer singing low quality material. I really wanted to like it, too.
  • why isn't this guy getting more play?

I discovered Adam Hood by accident when he was preloaded on my new computer. I think he is so good. He has great hooks and delivers them with a smooth infectious voice. Check him out. I think the rock label for genre is a bit misleading though, he seems more country to me. But I would hate to peg him, because I am not typically a country music fan.
