Fantastic album. Didn't know Metheny was on it till I started reading these reviews. Love the soprano sax, but really, all the musicians are superb. I own a CD, and unfortunately, the audio quality is pretty bad. I hope his piano was recorded much better than what I can hear, because Hornsby's playing should bewell recorded on a fine instrument.

One of my favorites, for sure. Bruce started losing me after Hot House, another true winner, and probably my favorite disc of his.

His vocals and the piano sections are spectacular as always but there are signs that his songwriting is weakening. It is clear that his songwriting craft has passed its peak by the time of this album. A good listen of course, just as the preceding albums are...
