Dug Pinnick is a musical masterpiece. It has everything you want. Heavy groove laden riffs, Dugs soulful singing..(and surprisingly excellent for a guy born in 1952..that isnt a joke either!) All I can say is I loved the Poundhound stuff, and all the Kings X stuff..this one is by far his best!!

Dug has always been one of the most inventive and progressive musicians in the rock world. He does not disappoint in this venture titled Strum Sum Up. Hard, imaginative and an absolute blitz to the ears, this is by far my favorite recording of 2007. His voice, his lyrics, agressive and thought provoking. Get it and be in rock heaven.
  • Great Album!!

I'm a long time KX fan and I've got to say this is some of my favorite material from Doug in years, far surpassing Emotional Animal in my opinion. He recruits some great musicians for this album and it shows. "Perfect World", "Damn It", and "Life is What You Make It" are stand outs.
  • Solid!!!

This CD delivers what music is missing today. Balls and Groove! This Cd brings out a vibe and feel lost in recordings today. Its honest and genuine. Luv Dug and Kings X. Rock ON!

By far and above all this is Dug's best work in years. While the CD has a feel all it's own it does have a little King'sX vibe to it (I wonder whyLOL...) ala,Dogman,Tapehead era on some tracks.Stum Sum up Rocks, grooves, has soul and funk all in the right order.A great mix. Not ONE weak track on this one.It moves you all the way through.

If this is any indication on how the new King's X is going to be, we are in store for a classic ROCK EXTRAVADANZA!
  • Best Ever!

I've listened to King's X for years. I have Dug's first solo record. This is by far the best ever! Dug has outdone himself and held nothing back. This beats anything I've ever heard.
