The weakest Kasabian album is still better than most rock albums out there. The whole album is not as spectacular as the other releases they have, but as for tracks go, you MUST download "Shoot The Runner". Another track I love is "Sun/Rise/Light/Flies"

I just think of this album as a practice session between greatness. Its an ok album, but nothing really stands out here to make it great. The bands self-titled and WRPLA are way stronger showings. This one I'd only recommend to the die-hard Kasabian fans

best songs are
1. shoot the runner- without a doubt the best kasabian song on their first two albums
2.sun/rise/light/flies- underrated song, wish they'd do it live
3.apnoea- this should be at least 3 mins long.title is the scientific word for holding your breath
4.empire- everyone makes a bid deal of the song, cause its pretty sweet
5. me plus one- love the violin bit at the end
6. stuntman- i have no idea why i like this. i usually hate songs that sound like this.
7.last trip in flight- sounds 60's to me for some reason.
8. by my side- cathcy little tune
9. the doberman- good ending, but not so great on its own
10. british legion- missing something.
11. seek and destroy- not as catchy
About the bonus edition: seriously get this one, cause the two extras are just amazing, and the vids are great too.

this album pales in comparison to thier first, sure the songs are catchy but it's not an album you come back to after only a few listens

Empire is overall an excellent CD. Yeah, it has an awkward CD cover but who cares when the music is great ya know? I like how it is a Brit Rock type of rock and a type of pop mixed together to show a really unique personality. This band is one to watch.

This is an excellant album it just as good as the first one. These guys know what they are doing. I hope to see a new album soon! All the songs are equally good and very enjoyable to listen to.
