I am a HUGE Bjork fan, and I have to say that the Ratatat Remix on this album is one of her best songs. An absolute must-buy for any Bjork fan!

This is what happens when you remix a song that's already a masterpiece. I love these remixes especially Matthew Herbert's, it's so awesome!!! Ratatat's remix has a really cool sound too. They did a great job with this song in my opinion. I think this c.d is worth a look.
  • Volta's Most Immediate Masterpiece

Released as the fourth (and possibly last proper) single from One Little Indian, “Wanderlust” combines all the elements that have made Volta a success - the brass is upfront and confrontational, yet blends seamlessly with the electronics; the lyrical structure runs circles around itself, much as the words reiterate the state of wandering; and the poignant vocals tell of a reluctance to admit one will never be satisfied, yet contain the most unearthly peaceful quality within such restrictions. “Wanderlust” is a definite standout from the album, undoubtedly one of the first tracks Volta commits to memory, and with the overall force it provides, there’s no wonder “Wanderlust” has been placed alongside such other Björk classics as “Hyperballad,” “Jóga,” and “Bachelorette.” Another beautiful element of this release is the accompaniment of Matthew Herbert’s and Ratatat’s high quality remixes, certainly the former being the very best of the Volta interpretations (thus far.) And with the EP being offered at such a bargain price, with the inclusion of the $100,000+ short film based upon the track (complete with interpretative dance, puppets, 2D/3D manipulations, and green screen technology), one would be hard-pressed in finding a better buy.

Bjork is one of the most creative artists out nowadays. Her music is absolutely breathtaking. 1. Mark Stent Mix- 8/10 Her vocals in this one are hauntingly good. 2. Matthew Herbert Remix- 10/10 The instrumentation of this mix is unbeatable. 3. Ratatat Remix- 10/10 By far the best mix here. 4. Mark Stent Instrumental- 7/10 I think the words really help the beats make sense, so that's the downfall. 5. Video- 10/10 How much more original can it be?
