I haven't purchased this album yet...but I plan on it! I love the sound of all these songs. They have a fun little tune. Kinda like what you would find in a movie! :) Whenever I listen to Joy's music, I can't help but use my imagination as I listen!

I just found out about her and I'm a Christian too but based on her reviews and popularity it just wasn't working out for her. Just because all her songs aren't about Jesus it doesn't mean she's not a Christian. I mean it would still be nice if she could have a few Christian songs but still, her songs are simple and preppy. The songs don't encourage listeners that it's all about money and sex like most music today. how about Katy Perry she used to be a Christian but it wasn't working for her music but instead of just changing a little she went all out. Also, with OneRepublic, their songs used to have a little Christian message in them but now that the money and fame has gotten to them, they don't have any Christian messages in their music AND now they cuss. I used to really look up to them. But all I'm saying is to give Joy a break because there are WAY worse artists you could be picking on.

I remember listening to Joy's music on the radio a few years back...It was just like all the other same songs they play on the radio. Musically and lyrically this is very well done! Great Job Joy!

I have been away from CCM for many years, leaving the industry back in 1996 but a few artists caught my atention. Joy Williams is one of those artists. I really like this EP and look forward to hearing more from her in the future.

It's sad that we as Christians tend to be as (if not more) judgmental as the world... Joy's new music is still beautiful. It's nice to have some fun, positive music that very well may reach someone who would tend to shy away from songs about "God". The way we live out our lives according to what Christ has called us to, speaks more clearly than any song or lyric. I'm glad to have music that is upbeat and positive that I can listen to with my kids! Good for you... Use the creative beauty that God created in you!
  • Just because it's not labeled "Christian.."

People, please don't lay a guilt trip on artists who are singing amazing music without the label of "Christian." Just because Joy's new stuff doesn't have overtly Christian lyrics doesn't mean they aren't as impacting...Another example: Brooke Fraser. Yes, she's a worship leader with Hillsong but her mainstream music is not overtly Christian and yet, she continues to influence people in a really positive way. Instead of Christian artists, they are AMAZING artists who happen to be Christians. They are living their lives as believers and I believe making a difference in the lives of the people who come in contact with them everyday...Christian or not. It's not like they are forsaking the Gospel or something...Not saying anyone is saying or doing this in regards to the comments below but music is not the only avenue in leading people to Christ - YOU be the example, YOU speak truth instead of relying on Christian singers to do so and then getting disappointed when they don't live up to your expectations. Joy, GREAT job with these EPs...loving them and appreciate your branching out and being creative with your God-given talent!

I love where you're going with your music. People can be crazy, saying this kind of music isn't inspired by God. The truth is, I feel it in every note. P.S.- Poison And Wine is one of the best songs of all time.

As someone close to the Christian music Industry, I hope you wont consider what the person below me wrote. I'm sorry to disagree with the person below me, but your new music is beautifully authentic and honest; something I have rarely seen in the Christian music industry. Don't be lead to believe you can't have a secular album and be a great role model. As a Christian, this music has a greater impact on me than most artist that have graced CCM's pages. Thank you for being you.
