Her voice is beautiful; nothing can take that away from her. As a Civil Wars fan however, the music just doesn't strike my heart the way their duo once did. I morn the loss of their beautiful synchronous sound.

To be a "serious artist". The cover art and her iTunes arris profile pic make me kind of cringe because she so obviously is trying to be some kind of enlightened artist or something. It feels forced and fake and makes me uncomfortable. That said, I do love her voice and songwriting and I do like most of the album. When she tries too hard and forces it (like in Oh Mama), it loses me

I saw her 10 years ago at Six flags over Georgia. The year she came out with Genesis. I live civil wars and what she's done there but I miss her Genesis. Overall she's my favorite female vocalist of all time. Very overlooked and unmarketed. Joy's heart for music is what love.

when i was shopping for music on Itunes im always looking for new music cuz its my life and i listen to this 5 times before i finally got it i am happy i did such a good album i will be getting the civil wars albums too... you can tell that this album touches on the loss she feels you can feel it in the music a must buy you will love it..

This is one phenomenal album! I absolutely loved Joy in the Civil Wars, but it is even better that she didn't let their break up get her down! This album is well worth every penny spent! Beautiful, inspiring, heartfelt......thank you Ms. Williams!

The vocal range Joy Williams has is truly incredible. This album shows just how amazing she is on her own. Not only that the songs are deep, heartfelt and so wonderfully done. I can't stop listening to the album. One of the best albums this year easily.
