Christmas In Harmony

I have listened to a lot of Christmas albums over the years and I have learned that once every generation there is a Christmas album or two that all others are compared to..this is one of those albums! The gals have breathed such new and fresh life into some of the most memorable Christmas classics as well as a few new Christmas songs which anyone who enjoys this style of pop vocals will enjoy! I actually was driving home the other night when I heard on XM the group going through their album on "Holly", XM 23. Because my commute is so long I got to hear the entire album and it is great! I am really surprised that I hadn't heard any of these songs getting airplay until then. I guess most people assume once a band hasn't put out an album for a few years they're done...NOT! If you're a fan of the pop/vocal energy of the early 90's then you'll enjoy this soon to be classic Christmas album.

Their voices are very nice and have an awesome blend. But they don't live up to their potential. For the most part, the arrangements are predictable and shallow. The exception is Our Prayer, written by Brian Wilson. It COULD have been a hypnotic masterpiece had it been executed better. Instead, it sounds like they were in a Lamaze class. Waaaayyyyy tooo breathy, and absolutely no feeling of introspection. It's a shame.

I'm so glad to see a new recording from Wilson Phillips! I love their harmony and this is has Wonderful Christmas music.

Love their sound but they deserve to sing much more sophisticated songs - capable of so much more!

This one's not bad but there are better christmas albums out there.

From the time their first album came out I thought Wilson Phillips had a sound that should go on and on. How excited I was to find this Christmas album with their beautiful sound! I love it!

This album is the perfect holiday album. Its just the right blend of classic christmas tunes and new songs. As always, wilson phillips sounds fantastic and the album is mixed perfectly. A must have for the holiday season!!!!!

I happened to see the CD at a store today and was surprised. Why isn't this wonderful music advertised? Thanks for recording this beautiful music!

Wow! This album totally exceeded my expectations! Like fine wine, Wilson Phillips' vocals have only matured better over time. This is especially evident in the last track, "Our Prayer." Simply beautiful. Hope to hear more from these ladies in the future...
