I am an atheist as some may find new age to be a genre of religion...well it isn't. It stimulates and relaxes the mind, and Damayanti does a fine job in both as well as relieving stress. We all must learn to accept one another as equal human beings, no matter the philosophy/religion.

  • Damayanti Is A Musical Piece of Art - A Picaso of New Age Music!

You can call this New Age or just instrumental relaxation music, whatever works but in the end the labels mean nothing and everything you need is right inside the music. You simple cannot put a feeling or healing sounds into a box and stick a label on it, there is much more meaning to be found. The entire album is a slice of heaven but the one track that really gave me goose bumps all over was “Flight of the Swan.” It is the only track that really steps away from the musical format for a while and offers some soothing jazz infused guitar with a definitive new age backdrop with flutes and such weaving their way into the musical tapestry. It just struck me with such happiness and warmth, it’s hard to explain. I think you have to hear the track and get into the right frame of mind to let the music take you away. Sometimes certain songs bring you somewhere - you know you have been there before and all around are things that are familiar but you cannot seem to nail it down and explain it to someone else, in a sense “Time Stands Still.” You don’t know whether to leap up in a spurt of joy or just let out a long cry to relieve your inner emotional pain. Come to think of it, I had a lot of those moments listening to this album and it made me feel so good! Keith "MuzikMan" Hannaleck

I love all of their music, but in this new CD 2002 has matured and taken the listener to new heights. The sounds are richer, deeper, fuller, more beautiful. Thanks to 2002 for sharing their music with the world!

A lot of people walk through life with no clue...Let me tell you something....2002 is without a doubt the greatest new age band that ever exhisted! Their sound is un -matched and un-equaled! They have survived in a day and age that none would ever think could imagine. 2002 continues to move forward with every release! They always deliver the greatest sound and the pair is always evolving, Dayamanti is the latest in a line of great recordings by the duo! I encourage you to fall back on prior recordings and take in the full effecct of 2002, they are without a doubt, the greatest New Age recording artist to walk the face of the earth!!!

I have been a 2002 follower from the beginning. This is their greatest work to date, as it captures a grand multitude of styles and emotions. The feeling one gets after listening to their music is easily that of uplifted and positive! I am always amazed by their new releases and am definitely looking forward to the next... Thanks, 2002, for all of the outstanding music over the years!
