  • Wings to your dreams

This is music that really gives wings to your dreams! The arrangements are topped with a delicious dollop of harmony that just takes you into another space altogether. The title track TRAIL OF DREAMS is one that has all of this and more. DEEP HORIZON has a tinge of intrigue while SKY actually has a feel that is limitless - it makes you climb, rise high and literally touch the sky. TA ME 'MO SHUI and WAIT FOR ME are soulful, wistful ballad style songs that show off some very neat harmony too. Dream and then listen to this record before you set out to chase them!
  • A work of art!

Because I am more a fan of instrumental music I had to see if this one would grow on me. Grow it has!! The sound is classic 2002 and the addition of vocals has not diminished that. Each track is unique and stirring. Because there are lyrics, this CD creates a different kind of journey but this does not lessen the emotions evoked on this Trail of Dreams. Sarah's voice in the first track sets the tone of excitement, wonder, and anticipation, and it just gets better from there. There is a lot of prominent harp music in this one, which I love, and the percussion is lively and adds to the mood of adventure. 5 stars!

This is my absolute favorite 2002 album to date. I’ve been a fan for nearly 15 years now, and this album, while maintaining the signature 2002 sound, is vibrant and fresh and their best work yet. Sarah’s voice is angelic, and Pam and Randy bring their “A" game. This is an incredibly beautiful family project - a true masterpiece. I love to just sit back and listen to this while sipping a cup of tea and let the weariness drain away. If you love any of their previous albums, you will absolutely adore this one.

If you are looking for Peace, Calmness and serenity you will find it here. The vocals of angles, instruments of yesteryear and today married together by your imagination as you feel all the pressures of today's world melt away. Priceless. Thank you 2002!

…Once you listen the beginning of the album you can feel the essence of 2002 is there once more, with a special addition (Sarah Copus). The songs are motivational, outgoing and fresh. They have their special instrumental compositions as well as vocal. Its a wonderful album! Gets better and better! A must have for spiritual enjoyment! This "Trail of Dreams” will awaken a pathway to your soul!

For a well-established recording artist or ensemble with a large following, experimenting with new directions in their signature sound can be risky. Fortunately for 2002, their experimentation has paid off. The evolution that has been taking place, particularly on this new release, include the increased use of vocals and percussion, as well as infusing elements from pop, folk and progressive rock into their ambient/neo-classical roots. While the group has been known over the years as the husband and wife duo of Randy and Pamela Copus, their 10 year old daughter Sarah has moved into a much more prominent role in the ensemble. In addition to her heavenly harp playing, she is now the primary lead vocalist in the band, with many of the harmonies and vocal arrangements having been created by her. I imagine that fans of Enya, Loreena McKennitt, etc. would greatly enjoy the addition of Sarah’s ethereal Celtic-tinged vocals. Randy Copus is an absolute master of epic orchestration keyboards, as well as being an excellent guitarist and vocalist, and right from the start his artistry is felt. Lovely vocal harmonies, imaginative string arrangements, powerful percussive elements, and Pamela’s gorgeous flute and harp playing blend with Sarah’s soaring vocals and harp to elevate the music to lofty realms. I have sincerely enjoyed every album I’ve heard by 2002 over the years, and never fail to be amazed at how they keep raising the bar with each one. The addition of Sarah to the group and the exploration of new musical directions definitely take this recording to the next level. While I’ve taken this opportunity to highlight the remarkable talents of the newest member of the group, this is not to overlook the artistic genius of Randy and Pamela Copus who over the years have continued to push the boundaries of the genre with innovative and inspired recordings. They were amazing as a duo, but now as a trio, they are truly the “first family” of new age music. Trail of Dreams is a stirring, evocative, and absolutely magical listening experience that I give my highest recommendation to.
