You say your a fan if "NIN" then perhaps you know that the only official member is TR himself. Furthermore you must know TR is an artist, which is apparent in the vast differences from Pretty Hate Machine to the slip and many others. Surely you aren't that big of a fan as to think that TR or NIN as you like to say is cookie cutter in any way shape or form. In fact TR is trying to set aside his "NIN" sound and try something different. Jump off the "closer" band wagon and open your.... Never mind it's pointless with "fans" like you who probably think you were ripped of by the Ghost albums. Review Fixed

I was a little iffy about this purchase, I didn't want to buy another "ghost" album. But I started to listen to the songs on the HTDA FB page and got hooked!!! Great album!! Can't stop listening :))

Somebody in Trent's circle should have slapped his face. Somebody should have held a mirror in front of him and made him say, "I'm proud of this". It's an imitation of himself. He made this album while sleepwalking. Tell me what you love, Trent. Tell me what you hate, Trent. Tell me about the bittersweet, Trent. Don't give me something safe. Don't give me background music for a boutique. Please just say "no" next time. Please accept this tough-love critique from a huge fan.
  • Eh…Total Disappointment. Simple!

As of fan of NIN why can't I expect anything better than this? I'm NOT drinking the kool-aid as reviewer St Van Cortlandt wants us too. I don't care about artistic expression. He has his fame because of his FANS. Get it? Not the other way around. Remember Exotic birds? Of course not…they sucked and Trent was an 80's preppy dancing around a keyboard. This project/album/ band is very boring. I would gather it more of NIN D-sides. You know, the stuff that never makes it to print. The vocals do not stand up to the music and why should they? Ever heard of group called West Indian Girl? Probably not since they were a horribly weak hippie-loving band and her vocal talents were dismal at best. Now all of a sudden she's married to Trent and she's dark and Goth? Give me a break. If I was a fly on the wall, I can see how this project started. I can hear her say, "honey…I'm interested in making some music with you…come on please you know I was in a professional band before???" What do you think Trent is going to say no? People! Most importantly, this is what happens when people make way too much money and too much time on their hands. Money begets money…. remember that. Plain and simple - this is bad and I cannot believe Trent would put the stamp of approval on this but what do I know…I'm just a fan.

but whats so experimental about this ......its NIN music with a chick singing (his wife) and what the guy said he is past that part of screaming and guitars. thats cool the last couple eps / full ablums have been experimental hell all their ablums have been experimental none of them sound alike cause ppl change over 4 years which he had between every ablum...but this is not experimental it is clips from older songs sung by a woman over virtually 20 years of nin music......so covers over your husbands previous work........maybe its good but definitely not experimental or new i felt like i have already heard these songs a thousand times and i have only played the ep once.....ill give it another chance to raise star rating count but pretty sure this is going to storage just like all my favorite singers side projects.......perfect circle only side project that has been worth 10 minutes of listening

Every track is unique, mysterious, and engaging. Was really excited to hear HTDA was releasing new material, and they do not disappoint.

Streamed this on hype machine and decided I had to own it for myself. The more I listen to the EP, the more it grows on me. I'll be looking forward to hearing more from these guys.

Gets 1 star for each song I like off this album. :P I tried to like it, really! After listening to it a few times I just can't get into it like the other.

Really a new sound coming together for the group. Trent loaning his voice and sometimes harmonizing with Mariqueen Maandig makes for an all new eerie ambiance. Whatever Rob Sheridan and Atticus Ross are cooking up behind the mixing boards and synths...I want some! They put together a wintery electric vibe that brings you to a future dreamstate. Buy it!
  • Two great songs

Like the first album there are two really good songs in this album (the first two) but the rest are pretty much garbage. I really wish Trent would cut ties with Atticus Ross, he is a horrible influence on the band. It started with Ghosts and you can hear echoes of Ghosts in every song. Fortunately Ghosts had a few goo songs, but mostly sucked hard core. The female singer writes the lyrics and they are quite often very good.
