Like, really, really great writing. Unlike this review. But wow. I was driving down to LA and back from Fresno and listened to it maybe 6 times in a row. I love everything about it.
  • One of their very best.

I’ve been a fan since Chase the Kangaroo, and SW is without a doubt one of their very best efforts, and definitely one of the best albums released in 2014. Beautiful, ethereal, with a touch of melancholy, it is a testament to their artistry and a love letter to their fans (who funded this project). They have been criminally underrated throughout all of their career, so consider yourself one of the fortunate if you have discovered this gem. Enjoy.

After all these years usually bands don’t get better. This album is one of my favorites. That is hard to compete with releases from their hay-day like “Chase the Kangaroo”, or even recent greats like “Burning like the Midnight Sun” (Another late career release great). Love it, Great job!
  • The choir just keeps getting better!

I am a huge Choir fan but this album is so overblown with reverb and echo that I can barely hear the instruments at all. Im not a fan of this album I’m afraid. sorry guys. Its actually mind boggling how much reverb is on all these songs. I didn’t think it was possible!

I've been a fan of the choir since the "kangaroos" album back in their beginnings. I love all their stuff, but THIS is WOW! I am so glad to see the boys back doing what they do best! This album takes me back to when they wrote great albums like "wide Eyed wonder", and "circle slide". Do yourself a favor and buy this album, take some time to yourself, and just listen.

This batch of songs is really really good lyrically and sonically. These guys have been consistently putting out great music for a long long time now. Been listening to them since I was 17. I'm 44 now. Live show is awesome too.
  • once again, twice as good as the last!

This album..no, this BAND is amazing. Over their long, distinguished career, each album has been consistently twice as better as the previous. Once again, The Choir boys have knocked it out of the park! “Who you think I am” alone is worth the price of admission! Buy it and become an instant, permanent fan!
  • Very accessible, great album!

I have been a fan of The Choir since the 80’s. I have seen them at least 8 times live. They are a truly unique and amazing band. I don’t know why more people don’t know of them. I have now listened to this album twice through this morning. It might become my favorite next to Circle Slide. You are really missing out if this album is not part of your collection.

This is one of the most cohesive albums The Choir have put together in years. The ambient guitars that Marc Byrd and Derri have used to color the last few albums become the foundation this time around, and it creates a timeless sound that flows through the whole album. These songs sound both fresh and like extensions of their classic stuff at the same time. “Who You Think I Am” is a great example- it sounds like you’re simultaneously listening to The Choir in 2014 and The Cure’s Disintegration from 1989. Great stuff.
