2001, I was awarded an Artist Trust GAP award to produce three short films I had written. However, by the time I received the award I had lost interest in making those films and made this one instead. It's about the reverse of writer's block. Roy Stanton plays my alter ego David Meritt who creates a series of films without effort. The scene in the electronics store was recorded using the store's demo camera. I just dropped a tape in and tried not to catch the attention of the employees. I have huge respect for the Artist Trust organization. I was initially concerned about altering our agreement but not only did they approve of this film but they shared it with journalists and used it for their own promotion. A short film by Aaron Bourget.
