The film was taken in a voyeuristic manner from the opposite side of the street from the 2nd floor of an apartment building. However, it is not the bodies that were kept in focus but the subconscious movements of the bathers reminding us of a dance. Repeating the motions reinforces this impression. Keeping the view of the camera focussed in a limited frame preserved the privacy of the bathers.
