Mickey Monsters video loop 4:3 DV, 5min 2002 In the original recording two gas balloons with the faces of Mickey Mouse and Mini Mouse are dancing in front of the blue sky. The clip was then slowed down and mirrored creating new forms by free tumbling motions. These forms may take on somewhat creepy or spooky shapes at times. This presentation irritates and breaks our viewing habits by warping well-known figures into these strange appearances. In 2012 the film was realised in four different colour variations allowing to play with these strong colours as an environmental illumination of the exhibition rooms.
