This is the first and only music video I've directed to date for the song, "Buddy," by Aimé Ellis & The Pleasures of Exile (2008). I was invited to direct this project for Aimé Ellis, who produced the project and worked alongside me to create a contemporary film noir aesthetic. Aimé was a professor I had the great privilege of studying under as an undergraduate student at the University of Kentucky and his teachings inspired a social consciousness in me that continues to guide and inspire me creatively and intellectually.
