BrownEngage Community Partners: Creating an Event (new view)

Transcript: In this video, I'll be showing you how to create an event on the BrownEngage platform using the new view. Before you begin make sure you're logged into your account. If you don't have an account already, please refer to create an account video. You'll begin by clicking on the advanced page. Then you will click on Submit Event. Once the page loads begin with the name of the event whether the event is remote/virtual, which is a completely optional. The start date, start time and end time, the time zone, participants needed. Make sure the privacy level is set at public to ensure that is submitted and uploaded to the platform. The start address or end address if need be. The description of the event. Any details such as contact information, and more. The response to Covid, it is optional. Click on Human Confirmation. You may add how you would like students to find out about this event, then click on Save and Publish. Although it says thanks for your submission your event is not fully submitted. You can also add an event logo by choosing a file or cover image. Once that is all set you can click on Save and Continue. You can add any additional information pertaining to the requirements and age limit. Your requirement details and expectations. The parking details and perks. Then click on Save and Continue. On the social media tab, you add in a website link ,the Twitter hashtags or handles, Facebook URL, or Instagram and Snapchat IDs. Then click on Save and Continue. On the Causes tab, you can add any social issues pertaining to your event. How this event can serve certain communities. Any benefits or service types. Then you can click on Save and Continue. Just to let you know, this is all completely optional. Then you can add any skills on this tab. Then click on Save and Continue. On the registration settings tab, you can add in an open date for registration and a closed date, a deadline, approval needed, toggle on the slide if you want an administrator to approve the registration or not. Whether there's a waitlist. Guest registration. Allowing minors to be registered. A group reservation request. A code in order to register. If it would be an internal and external registration. Any waivers and document agreements you may want to add. An example would be an image consent form. Any event reminders you may want to add. A QR code. A customizable confirmation email or no show email. Removing liability waiver from manual registration Via mobile app and then you'll have any registration statuses up here. Once this is all set. Just click on Save and Continue. Then you click on Impact Settings. Here you can add any impacts pertaining to your event. Any timesheets, impact hours, early impacts, or you can just disable impacts for everyone. Here you can allow for impact types. Notifications. The clockout options. If there are certain shift times or Geofencing impact. Once that is all set you can Save and Continue. On the event settings, you can add any age limits, any requirements, such as background, check training, fingerprinting or you can just click on no additional requirements. Here you can add the details, the parking details the perks. Any search keywords. If you want to add any discussion walls on your event, a map, any stats. If you want to hide the name and profiles of event participants. How many positions are remaining. If you make any changes to the event if you want the participants to be notified. If you want to send notifications to all administrators or the primary administrator. Again, social media tabs. Don't forget to Save and Continue.
