Am I really who they say I am? <br /> <br />Just a girl with no life <br />All she can do is carve herself with a knife <br /> <br />A girl who can't makeup her mind <br />Her heart as black as coal from a mine <br /> <br />Looking for love even though nothing is there for her <br />making new cuts when she finds out she ain't any guy's worth <br /> <br />I hear what they say about me all the time <br />'Nothing but darkness in her screwed up mind' <br /> <br />I'm not screwed up my mind is perfectly fine <br />your ways to deal with pain are just different from mine <br /> <br />You are able to shed tears whenever you feel down <br />I've never been able to do that the tears in my body are not to be found <br /> <br />Nobody is the same we all have different ways <br />My ways and yours, not all will be the same <br /> <br />So why am I the one to be judged for me being me <br />I'm just like you with a lil tiny difference than what you might be <br /> <br />All in all we're all the same <br />So why are people who handle hurt like me looked at strange? <br /> <br />The ones you say who need 'help' as if we were crazy <br />Maybe some are but maybe some aren't maybe, just maybe <br /> <br />We are the 'freaks' and you are the normal <br />The ones who are dressed 'odd' all the time and not 'formal' <br /> <br />But I like being different I don't want to be the same <br />I want to be me no matter if you say I'm not sane <br /> <br />I'm taking a stand for the ones who are like me <br />Stop the maddness and just let us be <br /> <br />So stop the judging us from the outside before looking in <br />I know now I am not who you say I am neither are the ones who cut with pins <br /> <br />I am not just like you <br />Living life like others do <br /> <br />Instead of being you I am just.... me <br />Leave me and everyone else who are't just like you BE<br /><br />Summer Holst<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/nobody-is-the-same-2/
