The water lapped gently upon the tiny shore, <br />Swishing and swaying, quieter than before. <br />I sat on the stones with my feet in the sea, <br />Dipping my toes in the freshness of glee. <br />I breathed in deeply and welcomed the breeze, <br />As the sand blew gently from my arms to my knees, <br />And all irrationality blew away with the wind, <br />When suddenly I felt the desire to sing. <br />So sing I did, loud and clear, <br />Melodies from my heart for all to hear. <br />I love you, I sang, I love you forever, <br />How could you forget the times we spent together? <br />But after all, it was a happy song, <br />So my sadness didn't like to stay around for too long. <br />Soon it departed and I was left alone with the sea, <br />Just the Lighthouse, the beach and a person called me. <br />Who could have predicted I would find such peace, <br />By a tiny white Lighthouse and a tiny little beach? <br />I don't care what was predicted, for I have found Tranquility. <br />I don't care for my other life, or my academic ability. <br />I care for my family - my friends - in sense, <br />Battling the enimies and welcoming strength. <br /> <br />Whenever I'm lonely, or sad or alone, <br />I dream of the Lighthouse and suddenly, I'm home.<br /><br />Twilight Whispers<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-lighthouse-of-tranquility/
