It feels as though every things moving in slow motion <br />The noise surrounding us has become a faint commotion <br />As I gaze into your eyes my heart fills with painful emotions <br /> <br />I never imagined this would be so hard <br />And I can’t bear the thought of us being apart <br />The idea is breaking my heart <br /> <br />The time for you to go is near <br />And I can no longer fight back the tears <br />My heart begins to fear <br /> <br />As you turn to walk away <br />I find myself crying out for you to stay <br />But in our hearts we both know it has to be this way <br /> <br />I watch as you slowly board the plane <br />But I find my bodies’ gone num with pain <br />I wonder if you’re feeling the same <br /> <br />I guess its time to leave this place <br />I walk away at a quick pace <br />Praying no one sees the tears running down my face <br /> <br />Suddenly someone swings me around <br />The impact almost sending me the ground <br />I gain my balance only to see <br />You’re standing there smiling down at me.<br /><br />Tanya Stanford<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/goodbye-124/
