This week in DVB debate, the studio asks “ Does Aung San legacy inspire the new generations?”<br /><br />General Aung San, who is called Bogyoke by the people, is the founding father of the country who was assassinated at the age of 32 in 1947. A student leader, national leader and independent fighter, Aung San, is a kind of leader that the country still wants. <br />For the independence movement, General Aung San founded the military which was well- respected by the people. Yet, the military he founded turned out its reputation into dictatorship since 1962 together with the coop. <br />Since then, the leadership is totalitarian by the military regime for decades and it makes it difficult for civilians to become a leader.
