Description

Blockudoku® is an original combination of sudoku and block puzzle games. It’s a simple yet challenging puzzle you won’t be able to put down. Match blocks to complete lines and squares to remove them. Keep the board clean, and beat your high score. How to play: - Drop the blocks on the 9x9 grid. - Fill up lines and squares to keep the board clean. - Complete Daily Challenges and get unique trophies. - Join Seasonal Events and get unique animated postcards. - Compete against other players in Tournaments, beat your high score, and climb the leaderboard. - Destroy several elements at once to make a Combo. - Make several successful moves in a row to get a Streak. How to become a Blockudoku® master? • There is no time limit, so no need to rush. Think one step ahead when faced with a difficult move. It might be your last one. • Try to place blocks on the board to destroy lines or 3x3 squares with every move to keep the board from filling up. • Find your zen by balancing between destroying figures as quickly as possible and getting as many combos and streaks as you can to score higher. • Score more points by making streaks. The emptier the board, the better for you! • It's always risky to wait for a good block – you may quickly run out of moves. When you see a chance to destroy a figure, do it. Relieve stress, or train your brain with a relaxing, yet challenging, game of Blockudoku® anywhere, anytime!

How do I make it where I just do the shape puzzles? That’s what the ads showed and that’s all I’m interested in.
  • Is this game truly random?

Not anymore. Whenever I played this game before the latest update, my scores were all over the place. Now, this same scenario happens literally ever time: I conveniently get every piece needed to keep going until 3,000 points, and then, poof, no pieces that will fit anywhere and the game is quickly over. Something obviously changed in the algorithm. The game has thus become boring and I’ve stopped playing.

I have daily migraines, and I was thankful for a game I could actually look att without pain shooting into my eyes. You took dark mode/ brown format away from me and many others. Spare me your unapologetic apology. Just fix it please.

I love this game and play it every day to relax. However, I really dislike the new bright screen. I used to play with the darker wood option, with was much less straining on my eyes. This is a big enough deal to make me move to another game. Please bring it back!

I hate the new stark blue and white.
  • Why not have 2 games, the old game we loved and this new game we DO NOT LIKE?

I really miss the Blockudoku I had been playing for years. Why not bring it back separately from this new game that is so annoying? Do you read the reviews?

This game is so fun and entertaining to me and I love how many levels there are it’s like it is going to never end! you can play all day long, plus it’s great for a long road trip or a long drive or just when you are bored. And that is why I am giving them a five star review!🤩

This was my go-to but with dark mode gone I don’t think I can handle the bright white screen.

Way to many ads. Even when your in the middle of playing an ad will come up. How can I keep my concentration with all these ads. Deleted.

I’d like to start, as many others have, by saying that I used to really enjoy this game. It’s satisfying, I enjoyed the metrics, and the challenges felt appropriately difficult without being impossible. Ads, in my opinion, were not too frequent. It was a calming way to end the day, and truly was one of my favorite and most used apps. My one criticism, that seems to unfortunately be a pattern, is that the developers continue to remove valued features in favor of keeping things “fresh,” and it really cuts into enjoyment of the app. While I understand the desire to appeal to new audiences, alienating the one you have is, to me, not the way to go. I played this game every night to go to sleep, up until they recently removed the ability to change the color scheme of the app. It seems like such a small detail, but I was using the wood option, which was made up of calming/neutral tones. Now, the only option is blue on white, which frankly strains my eyes a bit, feels sterile, and takes away from the experience. This option used to be toggle-able, which I thought was ideal. I understand that others probably do prefer the white/blue option, but the key is having the choice, which is already rare in the App Store. I reached out to the devs because I really did want to keep playing and was hopeful I was missing the button to switch it back, but was disappointed to find out that wasn’t the case. The reason they removed it was cited as not enough people using it, as “we were spending a lot of resources on something that wasn't making our product better for everyone.” Weirdly, that stung a little. How could you make something better for everyone by removing options? We’re too diverse a species for that to ever work, They ended with what was essentially, sorry, better luck next time, which is fine, but I won’t continue playing. The developers seem so focused on “innovation” that they’re losing sight of something that was already good. Scrolling through reviews, this appears to have happened many times. This issue is bigger than this one game or developer, and I know that, but it’s exhausting to see this pattern continue again and again, no matter where you go. The desire to constantly find ways to be “better,” to “improve,” to make yourself comparable instead of reliable, and to push that demanding sense of competition onto your user-base is ultimately isolating and soulless. If you truly wish to make the most users possible happy, feel free to add new features, but please don’t mandate them. It seems you aren’t adding features based on what your actual users want, but what other games are doing, and that will, in my opinion, always eventually fall short Newer/bigger/shinier isn’t always better, especially when what you had was good (and it was!) and true accessibility has a foundation in choice. This is long, but I miss this game, and this change and response was so strangely disappointing. I liked the quiet space it held, and I wish I could get it back. I anticipate a variation on the response most folks get if you do find time to respond, which is totally understandable- I’m sure you’re busy, and responding to each review takes time and effort many of us don’t have spare to expend. In short, this game was solid, but I feel as if it’s losing sight of what made it so good- consistency, calm, and balanced progression with options for gameplay. Thank you for all you do, but please consider maintaining options in the future.
