    If you access the app before 8 AM, it's great. If I try after that, it won't open and gives me an error and tells me to try again. Seems like they should figure that out.

    I love listening to all the shows, but the app itself is infuriating. I have to uninstall it and reinstall it all the time because it stops working. Anytime I re-order my queue, it puts things back in the order they were. It makes me crazy!

    I use this app to mainly get updated on the news hands free. This requires me to make a list of the articles I’d like to listen to using the NYT website and a notepad, and then manually adding the dozens of articles on this NYT Audio app by searching for each one and adding it to my listening queue. A cumbersome process that surely could be made easier if the listening queue could be maintained on the cloud and I could add articles to my queue directly from NYT website. Recently, sometime in April 2025, the audio quality of the NYT Audio narrators was significantly degraded, which makes it meaningfully less comfortable listening to. In addition, the random variety of narrators requires me to keep changing the volume and playback speed, and thus forces a lot more hands on listening experience, which I often can’t do. Ultimately, it curtails the reason I am using this app at all. It’ll be much better if you’d allow users to choose the voice they’d like to use and apply it across all automated voice narrations. My choice would be the first female voice you introduced, as it’s a lot more clear than the others (the male voice is clear with headphones, but not without. The second, new female voice is unclear through headphones or speakers at any volume and every playback speed). I hope this feedback will influence your features prioritization so that hands free personally curated news listening will be made much more accessible and easier to use.

    I appreciate the content, but I feel like once a month I have uninstall and reinstall the app to get it to work. I’ll start getting an error message saying “something went wrong.” I close out of the app and open it again…it doesn’t work. I restart my phone, it doesn’t work. Then I have uninstall and reinstall. I’m about to go back to Spotify because this is too much work to listen to the news.
