Yesterday evening, on TV, I watched Mick Hucknall and his band, "Simply Red" on a recorded performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival. They were brilliant. I saw that their Bass player was playing a Sadowsky, very similar to one of mine. His was a natural wood finished body, while mine is black. This morning I was inspired to plug my Sadowsky Metro MS5 5 string Bass into my TC Electronics RH450 bass amp and a pair of lightweight Bergantino CN112 speaker cabs and practice along to their version of "If You Don't Know Me By Now". It was a one take performance - didn't want to upset the neighbours - and I really have not got to grips yet with recording my bass over a track, using my "Focusrite" Crimson 18i8 USB interface. This video was recorded via a Rode microphone, direct into my video camera. I really must learn to use the newest technology. It's the enjoyment that matters more to me. Enjoy ;o)
