Recently Pastor Jason and Sylvie along with Sara and Denis Desforges had the chance to attend the Free Methodist General Conference. It was an encouraging time for all in attendance as we shared times of prayer, worship in song, discussion and visioning the future with the question at the forefront, "What type of churches does Canada need?" In a radically shifted Canadian religious landscape it is easy to resort to a posture of fear, despair and judgement. However, we will be better served to pray, listen and engage with our neighbours as loving missionaries in our own backyards as we build churches who bear responsibility for their community.
