What does Scripture and Jesus have to say about hell? Will the vast majority of people who have ever existed be resigned to an eterntiy of conscious torment without end in hell? The choices made in this life have very real consequences in this life and the life to come. While all Christians affirm that Christ will return to judge the living and the dead, the church has held to numerous ways of understanding postmortem judgment. Sadly, the church throughout history, including today, has imported many details and ideas related to afterlife punishment which are more a reflection of popular culture and pagan ideas rather than Jesus' teachings on hell and judgment. In this message Pastor Jason discusses the various Scriptures and positions people have had related to hell and postmortem judgment with an emphasis on joyful obedience to Jesus and his narrow way in this life as representatives of the life and light of Christ who came to defeat death and hell.
