I’m glad to see this album on ITunes, not sure how long it’s been here but it wasn’t here the last time I looked, by golly. This is just one of those albums that became a favorite, not because it was the best, but because it spoke to my developing interest in guitars and the gods who played them. With songs like Beyond the Universe and Sailor, Derringer epitomized the guitar hero/god, his guitar still sounds good to me. A backing band with the likes of Vinny Appice on drums, and Kenny Aaronson on bass, is a nice way to start. Since I mentioned Vinny and Kenny, I should mention that Danny Johnson was also on guitar, solid. 70s guitar rock, come and get it.
