When I first heard "I Don't Wanna Be" on a TV show that will remain unnamed,* I thought I heard a young, black man singing. This makes Gavin a modern day Elvis. "Just Friends" has the hook of a lifetime but so does every other song, hits that will never sound stale.
The "Stripped" sessions offer little that matches the original record, aside from "Chemical Party," which is actually better, and maybe "Crush." Save some money.

This is my favorite of Gavin's records. I love Nice to Meet You stripped. His voice just sounds so incredible on that track!!

I remember hearing the original Chariot album, and other than "I Don't Wanna Be" (which I liked more for "One Tree Hill" and because the gorgeous Shiri Appleby was in the music video), I was mostly unimpressed. But then I heard about "Stripped", checked it out and was blown away. The perfect example of less being more. Just Gavin on the keys or guitar, with his voice, and drums in the back are all that's necessary.

I LOVE Gavin! His first song that came out was really good but it wasn't until Follow Through that I started really looking for his music. I like listening to all kinds of artist's popular or not if the song moves me and has a good message (and melody) then I'll buy it.
But Gavin has that just perfect style. I think he sounds even better in Acoustic than radio version.
