I first heard this song on the series finale of One Tree Hill and immediately bought the song off iTunes. I have been impatiently waiting for the video to be released and now it's finally here. This song exemplifies everything my husband is to me. We met more than 11 years ago when he was still in the Marine Corps and now he is a federal law enforcement agent. He is, was and always will be my soldier. Thank you Gavin for creating such a beautiful song.

I'm in amazement of what you've become as a person and musician. This video sure hits home for so many reasons. Aunt Patty had to speak at a funeral last weekend and she used part of soldier to her friend. It was so touching! I will type it out so you can see when you make it out here.
