Well, Mississippi Queen might have been more popular (overplayed), but if you listened to the good FM stations of the day, they were playing Never In My Life which I like. Also, Theme from an Imaginary Western is my other favorite on this album.
  • Pure 70s Boogie Rock/Southern Rock/Proto Metal.

Wow.That is the word you are going to say after you hear the WHOLE album.Dont just by Mississisppi Queen(It still rocks, but very overated).Silver paper is my favorite song on the album. But all the songs dispay great intrumental skill, powerfull vocals and anthemic melodies. Also Leslie West is a very underated guitarist just ask Micheal Schenker(UFO,MSG)Rhandy Rhoads*RIP( pre fame Quiet Riot,Ozzy Osbourne).West has mastered the art of Harmonics.
  • The album with the true One Hit Wonder.

"Mississippi Queen" is a good song but the rest of the album is just bad. I didn't really enjoy it. It's sickening when a One Hit Wonder makes a greatest hits compilation album. Sorry Leslie, but why...

These guy were a 4-man power band when bands were a dime a dozen. They often played smaller venues but never disappointed an audience. The soulful input from all four of the members brought many a concert hall to its feet. This was truly a rock-till-ya-drop band. I remember walking from the Capital Theatre in Port Chester New York during the winter of 71' totally exhausted! These guys earned their money! They just don't make em like this anymore. After Felix died they were never the same.
  • A one hit wonder!
