    I saw Mountain on three occasions in the 70's and this quite possibly was the best live Mountain Concert of that era. The sound is crisp, clear and captures the mood of what the Fillmore East was like in its hay day. What impressed you when you walked into a Mountain Concert was the wall of Marshall amplifiers stacked three high. When you left a Mountain concert you couldnt hear for 24 hours, they were THAT loud. FYI, track 10 is NOT Theme From An Imaginary Western, it is Yasgurs Farm.

    This album has excellent sound quality and is a good document of what kind of performance Mountain was known to give back in the early 70's. I am way too young to have had the privilege of seeing the band back then, but it's a great thing that now I can purchase this album to hear what I missed out on. This is the quintessential power trio at the peak of their powers. Awesome... it starts strong and doesn't let up (though personally I could do without both the guitar solo at 9 minutes and 23 minute version of dreams of milk and honey...)
