It's been almost 11 years since this album was released and it's still my favorite Chevelle album. In my opinion, it barely edges out Sci-Fi Crimes and This Type of Thinking. This entire album just rocks from front to back. Straight Jacket Fashion is my favorite song and just about every song is terrific. I especially love the bonus track, In Debt to Earth. If you want to just flat out rock out, buy this album.

Chevelle has been my favorite band for a long time. And this cd was so over looked and underrated it hurts. Once listening to it you will want to hear the songs over and over, even if you don't like them all at first, after listening to them a few songs you will love them.

Chevelle has produced a few gems here — Antisaint, Brainiac, and The Fad are enjoyable. What I found as I listened to this, however, was that the simple, repetitious, down-tuned riffs began to feel dull, and ultimately contrived. It seemed to me that the band’s attempts at producing powerful intros became desperate pleas for continued attention when I was slowly becoming less willing to give it. My perspective might be faulty, though, as I thoroughly enjoyed the variation in “Wonder What’s Next”’s songwriting and instrumentation. Best of luck in your purchases :)

In my opinion, this is the pinnacle of Chevelle's songwriting ability. Not to say that their future work is worse (it's great!), but this album is incredibly creative and well-crafted. Heavy but melodic and beautiful with treasures like Paint the Seconds, Saferwaters, Well Enough Alone, and Saturdays.

One of the best rock albums I've ever heard. From the awesome intro to "saferwaters", to the Erie-ness of well enough alone". This album packs it all and chevelle has come out with what I think is one of their best songs....."I Get It"! Seriously good album!!!!!

I have always been a huge Tool fan and came across an earlier Chevelle in my collection. I really enjoy this group and highly recommend to Tool fans everywhere.

Definitely worth more than five stars, but iTunes needs to unlock that little bonus track at the bottom. DO IT ITUNES

I am a huge fan of Chevelle and I think this is their best album ever. It's sound is so raw yet fresh. It's an amazing album and is definitely money well spent.
