I heard this artist on Pandora and immediately knew I needed to buy the album. After a quick sample of all the tunes I made the purchase. Definitely need more artist like him out there.

2 dope LP's in 1 year, yall better recognize!!! "Odd Seasons" started things moving & "Rock Creek Park" keeps it moving, this CD is sooo cold, bomb instrumental after bomb instrumental, lovin' it!!! Again he's hitting w/ a great mixture of samples & live instruments, & instead of many short compositions Oddisee blesses w/ a nice disc of longer instrumentals 2 vibe 2. Peep "Closed After Dark" & check how he flipped that sample, crazy! "All Along The River" & "The Carter Baron" are some other favs of mine, but "Mattered Much" takes the cake! The drums & the guitar work, just dope, but again, you can push play & let this CD ride. Oddisee's on a mission, bringing soul & feeling 2 the table of Hip-Hop instead of the usual, gangs, guns, drugs, thugs, stunts & blunts.

Thats how I describe this album with one word. Oddisee is a dope producer and this album proves it. They all flow nicely together, and works better as one fluid work than 10 individual tracks, so picking a standout would be pointless. Its a breath of fresh air after hearing tons of other generic production that bog down so many other albums this year.

oddisee's songs have always been hit-or-miss for me... but this is hit all the way through! amazing basslines in every track, nostalgic old school vibe that hip hop nowadays seems to have abandoned. how does mac miller get the #1 album when this kinda music is around???!! open your ears, people!
