Bruce Willis is back in action — mind-blowing, heart-stopping, rip-roaring action — as John McClane, the heroic New York cop with a knack for being in the wrong place at the right time. John’s latest predicament takes him all the way to Russia to track down his estranged son, Jack (Jai Courtney), who has been imprisoned in Moscow. But the mission takes a deadly turn as father and son must join forces to thwart a nuclear weapons heist that could trigger World War III!

I can’t believe people hate this movie. I love this so much. I don’t care that it killed the Die Hard franchise I thought it was awesome. Well, to be honest, I’m really in to action movies that people hate, so yeah...

John has dementia and he chasing his son through Moscow. Every thing they do doesn’t seem to indicate they are being chased by people who want to kill them.

Useless effort. Wasted money and time. Insultingly awful. Clueless from top to bottom.

In 40 years, I’ve walked out on only 3 movies. This was one of them. I never made it past the first half. Bruce Willis phoned it in the whole way - obviously doesn’t care anymore. There’s almost no plot, the special effects are cheesy and the acting is acting-class-in-school quality. This is the Superman 4 of the franchise. Dead.

When I first saw it (I didn't really see it because I fell asleep) it was boring 👎🏾. But when I saw it at home on on demand,I was wrong👍🏾.
  • Stick with THIS version (theatrical)

It isn't going to win any awards and it is easily the weakest of the Die Hard series, but the leads have excellent chemistry and there's a couple of stand out action sequences (including an explosive courtroom assault/smash em up car chase). Plus there's Bruce still taking down bad guys after 25 years! Make sure you stick with the theatrical cut that Bruce oversaw though. The "extended cut" actually deletes Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Lucy McClane completely from the movie and the pace seems a bit slower than the theatrical version. It's amazing the impact a matter of minutes here and there can have on a finished product.

This was an awesome movie. I was happily surprised how great it was. It was funny, action-packed, and returns to the great R-rated form of the franchise.
