I gotta admit that after 20+ years, I never thought he’d be returning to actual gear, next level beats, and the melodies that set Tom apart from his peers in the first place ... he basically just dropped the best album of his career.
I waited a few months to review this, to make sure it wasn’t rampant nostalgia on my part. But no, it’s not just me. This isn’t a bunch of glitch. The melodic work Tom does here is his best. It’s so dense and fun and sad an beautiful, very reminiscent of pre-hiatus Aphex Twin. (Think Drukqs at its wildest, but more succinct and without filler).
This is a guy who knows all the tricks. He doesn’t shy away from his strengths, he keeps them right in the pocket while expanding on them. Listening to this reminds me why I got into IDM in the first place. Thank you Squarepusher.🙏

Jenkinson truly pushes the envelope further with this amazing album. After listening to the entirety of this record approximately a week ago, I have come to the conclusion that this is unarguably the best he has done (thus far)

This is the best electronic music I’ve heard in maybe a decade. Tom has made an album that is so dense and complex yet is easily listened to and just plain FUN start to finish. Best Squarepusher album since Go Plastic. Do not miss this one.
