Saw their DSOTM show at Redrocks 2011 and just bought the album... again. So there.

As a fan of both bands I think this is a well deserved welcome and should be listened to. A lot of people would tell you this is mediocre compared to the original but, it’s a rendition, or homage if you will, to the original and not the exact copy. The Lips have always flirted with sounding close to Pink Floyd, or Zeppelin, and even the Beatles going as far back as ‘Oh My Gawd’. Some of their songs like ‘One Million Billionth of a Millisecond on a Sunday Morning’, Love Yer Brain’, or even every track on both ‘Zaireeka’ and ‘Soft Bulletin’ is a direct nod to Floyd, Bowie, and John Lennon. So why wouldn’t they record ‘Dark-side of the Moon’? Makes sense in the perspective point of view. My advice listen to it as an objective listener and make your own judgement. Otherwise awesome album- 5 stars.

I love the Lips and Pink Floyd but this was horrible! I played it once and never again!

It's not right this gets more attention than the original album and band. Pink Floyd way better

I thinks it’s a very good cover album, better than I thought it would be even. It’s a nice homage, not meant to replace the original or be better (obviously). They sound just like The Flaming Lips covering Pink Floyd. It made me revisit the original classic album with new ears and renewed appreciation.

As Floyd and Lips fan for many years, I thought this was an extremely well done piece of work. The lips hit right and IMO created a nice psychedelic revision of a masterpiece
