I FFind it very difficult to rate with such a small sample size, but I have to comment on those who feel they must give a bad review after hearing 20 seconds of a song. They must be quite the authority or a magician to smear a review of a band who have been pumping out high powered rock n roll for 50 years plus-try decaf bra-

Portable Door is not fast or anything the other “review” claims! It’s like they have went backwards & are incorporating riffs from past songs! The vocals are more in the line of talking through the song instead of singing! Ian is pushing 79 at this point & you can tell! If the album doesn’t get to be a real rocker, then they need to hang it up!

Promising start for sure, “Portable Door” is fast, aggressive and has a great riff. A new chapter of Deep Purple has been opened. Looking forward to what else Simon McBride (guitar), brings to the table and how the band continues to naturally evolve.
