If you try using this as a remote for your Google TV, it won’t provide basic volume and input controls unless you’re already casting from YouTube or similar. If you turn on your Nintendo Switch which turns on the TV with it, this App won’t let you adjust the TV volume. How worthless is that?

The app never works, specifically the remote it’ll just crash mid use and work comeback for 15 mins.

The remote doesn’t work, and when it does it works for a few seconds. Terrible app.

I just bought a new tv with google tv for its OS and it really sucks I can’t use my phone to turn on my tv. My previous tv was a Roku tv and the Roku app would allow me to turn my tv on. My remotes are located on my computer desk but when I’m in bed I would like to be able to turn on the tv from my phone. Obviously Google won’t fix this because like everything they do they just give up and move on to the next thing which will flop and then they abandon it like everything they do.

This app needs a complete overhaul. Very disappointed in this company. As ive seen from previous users from years ago 10 yrs (wow) that im experiencing the same issues as they were.

Frustrating and doesn’t work

I hate this app to the core of my very being. It’s like the devs never used the app. The remote function never works and never picks up on my android tv devices in my house on the same exact Wi-Fi network. It’s been like this for a few years since they did that stupid overhaul. So whenever I lose my physical remote every now and then, I try this app and it still doesn’t freaking work. Hate it.
