  • Two Problems Make It Meh

    1) can’t use custom LUTs for color grading. It’s a pro app. Treat it as such. 2) it will not surrender storage it’s claimed no matter how hard I try. I have to force the issue by deleting/reinstalling

This app was terrible! You have to pay 12.99 a month and you have a one month free trial that makes you give the app your credit/debit card info and everything! For kids who are interested in film making, or for people who cant pay 12.99 a month and over $200 a year, this is terrible! Once you actually sign in, every thing is so hard to use if your not an expert!
  • 12.3 crashes and lag constantly - what a fall from grace…

Brand new M5 Pro MacBook Pro - have used FCP extensively in the past. It’s my favorite video editing app. With the 12.3 / 12.4 updates, it’s clear Apple doesn’t test their apps anymore. I’m unable to edit a 13 min video, encoded as an mp4, @ 1080p/29.95 fps without the entire NLE locking up and crashing. Sheer incompetence.

it’s great but some things: i wanna be able to drag multiple clips. like they have the range button but when i try to drag and move a selection of clips it won’t let me. it also won’t let me grab the titles and audio attached to it. oh and also i wish i can save text presets, same font size, color, settings.. Bc it wont even let me copy it from a different project

There are some bugs, but I have a disability and this is the best way for me to edit.

Very unique with details types of form for editing, even when I switched to it and just dived right in it was an experience I liked.
  • Best Video Editing Software I've Ever Used

Since I started using Final Cut Pro, I honestly don't have much desire to use anything else. It does everything I need and so much more. There is definitely a learning curve, but once you get the basics down, you have an incredible amount of tools and features right at your fingertips. I've probably only learned and used about 20% of what Final Cut Pro can actually do, and I'm already amazed by what I'm able to accomplish with it. I especially love the audio capabilities. Being able to use my music-production plugins, including compressors, EQs, iZotope plugins, and other audio tools, gives me a huge amount of control over the sound of my videos. There are also tons of visual effects and plugins available for creative editing. For me, Final Cut Pro has become an all-in-one editing environment. The more I learn, the more I realize how much it can actually do. Five stars from me.
  • Apple Vision Pro Native

There is no excuse for these to not be native Apple Vision Pro apps. This is really unacceptable for how expensive all of your devices are.
  • Works when it works, crashes to much

Works great but not 100% relable, crashes a lot when editing from a 2026 MacBook Pro M5 Max using internal storage.
