I buy Apple Music so I only download podcast thru Apple . If it’s not here oh well

It’s great

I’ve been using Apple Podcasts for decades (if we include when it was a part of iTunes). Since the podcast app became standalone, it’s been a headache. Every os update messes things up. Currently, my iPad is only 2 years old. It runs fine. The storage is good. I don’t use it for much. But the podcast app is doing the same thing it did on my last iPad (until I bought a new iPad). 1, the shows take forever to start. When the app starts, it takes a while for everything in my downloaded list to load. Then, when I select the episode, it can take up THIRTY SECONDS to start. Even worse, sometimes the episode starts, but the controls don’t load, as in, I can’t even pause or ff the episode. This genally happens when the iPad is a few years old. This is my third iPad using the podcasts app, and the whole “app takes forever to play and then I can’t stop it for 20 seconds” thing is now very recognizable around the 2-yr mark of whatever updates I’m using. I’ve done all the updates; I have plenty of memory and space in the iPad. I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled (which is a headache and time waste for sure). I’ve even gone to the Genius Bar, and all I get are shrugs and suggestions to buy a new iPad. Cool. NO. 2, downloading over hotspot never works. When I’m using a hotspot, and the downloads start, they stay in download purgatory and never even really start to download. I have to go and cancel the download and then manually start the download. It’s very odd. 3, there should be an option to turn off auto play. Some times, I just want to play a single episode. 4, there should be a way to create playlists. Right now, you can make a single one. It’d be great to have more than one, especially for different things. Like, if I’m driving, maybe I’d like to listen to these podcasts. But when I’m working out, I want to listen to those podcasts. There should be an easy way to do this.

I can listen to anything thing I want without pay I am so glad to have the podcast app it is definitely a 5 star

With the exception of Apple PC’s, they are a terrible software company. Every app Apple touches, is overdone and complicated. It’s not a coincidence that users delete most of the iOS default apps, and replace them with third-party apps.

Love your family stories the ups and downs and how you’re always so positive and can laugh at the chaos. Really enjoyed your mention of how to handle when a child says embarrassing unpolite loud remarks in public. You guys should share that in more episodes it is very helpful and simple. Zack is a great dad. I so enjoyed the tv episode where he was home with the 3 kiddos alone. He did a great job I laughed about the note….i think putting the note in the lunch box the night before or writing it and putting on the counter would help not forgetting it. Stay fun and fabulous. I’m going to miss u guys on the tv show was so nice to see you and how your lives were going .
