Over the past ten to fifteen years Apples products have declined. That and what ever innovation if you wish to call it that now only appears in turning long existing native apps into front doors for apples subscription services. This, just as many of their products now remind me of the frustrations I encountered using Windows briefly during 2002-2006. It seems apple now relies on profiting off continued marketing of a well deserved reputation earned twenty years ago but no longer deserves. From slowly removing offerings yet increasing prices, releasing sloppy software (something Jobs would never allow), very unethical business and marketing practices, and never willing to accept or admit responsibility for problems and blaming everything or anything for failures to live up to hype, are only a few issues I currently have with Apple. After over thirty years using their products, I’ve come to detest Apple as much as I once loved the company. Why? Because we expect a higher ethos, superior products, and a loyalty to its customers in the way it had once earned from us. And iMovie is just one more lowly apple native app that has fallen behind in development with Apple showing no signs or impetus of budging an inch in fixing or making good on Job’s once guideline for Apple products– that they just work.

I used to love this app because it was to e only free app for syncing videos together, but I don’t know there’s many issues with it, for one some videos I try putting in just won’t, they don’t grant access or they just won’t add them to the movie I’m trying to make, and worse still for WHATEVER REASON it’s completely cut out all the audio from the video, the 1st section was fine and the audio was good- the second part for whatever reason isn’t including the sound, the original video had sound but when I add it onto IMovie trying to put the videos together it takes the sound away for whatever reason so I’m giving 1 Star for the technical difficulties it SHOULD NOT be THIS HARD for an app or anything in general to put 2 videos together EXACTLY AS THEY WERE ORIGINALLY instead of randomly taking the audio out for no reason.

When I got this app in 2024, I really liked it, but when 2025 came, it became worse. 1, every time I tried to edit a video, my screen kept freezing. 2, every time I play a old video from 2024, it said it needs to download. 3, I tried fixing my problems by deleting this app and downloading it again, but every time I try to get back on it to restart, the homepage looks the same. If you don’t fix these problems, I will report the company that made this app and make them shut down this app.

I get it, the app is free But there are many flaws 1 stuck download bar after trying to save a 7 minute video Forcing me to delete the app and do it again 2 bad quality after saving If you ever made a video like me using iMovie you know just how bad the quality is after saving 3 a lot of bugs Like white screens Black screen in the middle of editing iMovie isn’t for you if you don’t like Glitches and interrupted editing 4 You need to give full access just for videos
